I was born in Panama, Canal Zone. My formative years were spent in New Jersey, after four years in the Air Force, I attended Fairleigh Dickinson University majoring in marketing. Early in my career I was Art Director and New Products Design Director for toy companies. I worked on creations from Slinky toys to water rockets. I had a graphics and product design business, during these years most of my fine art paintings were commissioned.
I lived in Woodstock, New York for most of my adult life and moved to Jupiter, Florida in 2007. Since then I have dedicated my time to painting. As a member of the Lighthouse Art Center in Tequesta, Florida, I have participated in juried art shows and have received awards. My paintings have been shown in local galleries and as a result of my involvement in art shows, originals and limited edition giclee prints hang in homes in Florida and throughout the country. Most of my paintings are oil on canvas, a few are acrylic with palette knife. My subjects of interest are wildlife, landscapes and seascapes. I find the unusual in common places and try to incorporate color and contrast into my works. I believe art is a continuous learning process. Anything I have observed and experienced in life contributes to what I put on canvas.
