Downtown Stuart Slide Oct 2013

Have you been going pink this October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month? At American Craft Endeavors, our crafters have been doing an AMAZING job at really bringing out the support. This weekend, we’re heading to Stuart, Fl. for the 14th Annual Downtown Stuart Craft Festival and we are very excited to see, not just the displays of solidarity that everyone will be showing off, but the displays of jewelry and crafts and art pieces supporting those who are battling breast cancer.

Show Off Your Pink: Crafters to See

We’ve received an overwhelming amount of support from participating crafters and American Craft Endeavors friends about Breast Cancer Awareness Month, both with what the crafters wore to the shows and how they arranged their displays, and we wanted to share some of our favorites with you. These folks will be at the 14th Annual Downtown Stuart Craft Festival this weekend, so be sure to find them and say hello. And remember: These and many other artists are donating a portion from the sale any breast-cancer-awareness-themed merchandise to charity. All the more reason to come out and join us!

Kathy Toledo. This wonderful crafter hailing from Fort Lauderdale really gave the crowds a beautiful display to look at for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Her quilts, bags and accessories are bound to make your day, as they always do ours. From cute eyeglass cases to adorable adjustable purses, Kathy’s creations are beautiful, practical and very unique. Grab a set of pink ribbon coasters for the special women in your life, or check out many of her other pieces, which will make wonderful holiday gifts. Bonus: Check out her “Cool Bands,” which we hear are great for everything from migraines to exhaustion.

Marina Vega. We are absolutely enamored with Kissimmee’s very own Marina Vega and her beautiful pink ribbon jewelry collection. We just know you will be too. Casual yet intriguing, her gorgeous necklaces and pink ribbon earrings are not to be missed — and if you enjoy amazing and unique handcrafted jewelry, trust us when we tell you that Marina’s collection is one you don’t want to miss. Bonus: We love Marina’s flower necklaces. Don’t leave the festival without at least one of these for yourself or a friend.

Sawai and George McLaughlin. When we see Sawai and George’s booth, we can’t help but smile at their bright and beautiful t-shirt creations, and we know you won’t be able to hold back your smiles either. They come to us from Zephyrhills, Fl. and for Pinktober, they added a gorgeous pink ribbon piece to their collection of fun, quirky and colorful tees. Don’t leave the Downtown Stuart Craft Festival this weekend without finding the perfect t-shirt for you and yours. Bonus: Check out Sawai and George’s collection of lotus shorts and cover-ups as well. You won’t be sorry, we promise!
