As you were probably able to tell a couple of weeks ago during our visit to Delray Beach, we just love our friends in this vivacious town. That’s why we were so excited to announce that the Delray Marketplace Art & Craft Show in West Delray is making its debut this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 26-27 from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. As the end of October approaches and we bid adieu to the first full month of fall and the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re excited to debut such a special event in such an interesting niche in town.
Delray Marketplace is everything you’re looking for in shopping, dining and entertainment. Over 258,000 sq. ft. of today’s trendiest stores, most popular local eateries and hottest entertainment spots are nestled within the spaces in Delray Marketplace. Known for its one-of-a-kind, all-ages friendly atmosphere, Delray Marketplace is definitely the place to go, whether you’re having a girls’ excursion, a family fun day or a romantic couple’s date.
These days, as we approach the holidays and everyone’s looking for that perfect gift, it goes without saying that there’s a lot more traffic slowly coming through the lovely walkways of the Delray Marketplace. For those who are searching for that one-of-a-kind, handmade piece of jewelry or functional art to give to a loved one this holiday season, this weekend’s Art & Craft festival provides the perfect opportunity to find that perfect, handcrafted masterpiece that will dazzle. And don’t forget, The Olive Tap Delray Beach will be offering 10% off their seasonal and specialty Extra Virgin Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars to all of the Arts and Craft visitors during the Delray Marketplace Art & Craft Festival this weekend, so plan on taking some additional delicacies home as part of your trip!
This month has been particularly special, not just because of this wonderful new debut. American Craft Endeavors has been a proud participant in National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, bringing to light the struggles of those battling breast cancer on all fronts, as well as those who are desperately working to find a cure. We have been humbled by the enthusiasm and participation of so many patrons and crafters throughout the month, in all kinds of capacities, whether it’s been dedicating entire collections to breast cancer awareness or simply wearing a pink shirt or sporting a pink ribbon in solidarity with patients all over the world. Many crafters, who will proudly display pink ribbons on their booths this weekend, will be donating a portion of the proceeds from some of the breast cancer-focused pieces to breast cancer research. Talk about making a difference!
Jewelry designer Gail Small of Last Call Glass is one of the amazing fine crafters dedicating some of her work to the cause and herself making a difference, and she has graciously donated a one-of-a-kind necklace made out of upcycled glass from a Belvedere bottle, valued at $49 to our ACE Pinktober awareness month special giveaway at the Delray Marketplace Art & Craft Show. This lovely artistic jewelry piece is called “Pink Tree of Life” and one lucky patron will be taking this home. Using a proprietary technique to create her visually stunning jewelry pieces, Gail has created some very beautiful work, but this may just be one of her very best yet. Stop by her booth this weekend and be sure to say hi and sign up for the giveaway.
Come join our over 100 fine crafters at our very first Delray Marketplace Art & Craft Festival and see how American Craft Endeavors celebrates the ending of October and the true beginning of the holiday season. The weather should be lovely, admission to the event is free and completely open to public of all ages, so bring the kids and the spouse along. We’re looking forward to having you over this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. As we have been doing in the past few shows, we encourage you to wear your pink in support of ACE Pinktober, take some mobile pics with your favorite crafters or your awesome finds, and share them with us on Facebook at facebook.com/AmericanCraftEndeavors.
