Sarasota has a rich — and very creative — history, one that is easily seen in the buildings, landscapes and skylines. Home to such historical gems as the Ringling Museum of Art and the Mary Selby Botanical Gardens, everything from Sarasota Bay to Downtown Sarasota screams creativity and style. It’s no surprise, then, that American Craft Endeavors has developed such a strong following there, and no surprise why the Downtown Sarasota Art & Craft Festival is one of the most anticipated art & crafts shows of the year. Historic
Downtown Sarasota has been the home to many of American Craft Endeavors’ most successful shows, and this weekend we are expecting another success story with the Downtown Sarasota Art & Craft Festival. We hope you’ll join us as we continue our focus on Breast Cancer Awareness Month, along with the participating artists who are sharing very special and inspirational pieces.
Downtown Sarasota Art & Craft Festival: Focused on Breast Cancer Awareness
Thanks to the dozens of crafters and artists who will be sharing their unique, handcrafted and one-of-a-kind works at the Downtown Sarasota Art & Craft Festival this weekend, we’re able to really participate in the breast cancer awareness conversation, not just by wearing pink in support of breast cancer research, but by encouraging artists and crafters to donate their talents and time to that cause. Check out some of these artists of note who will each have pieces dedicated to our Breast Cancer Awareness focus. Part of the proceeds from the purchases of any Breast Cancer Awareness-focused pieces will be donated to breast cancer research.
Artist Tonya Smith has always created beautiful, one-of-a-kind works for her collection, but she has positively outdone herself with her breast cancer awareness-inspired pieces, which she will be selling at this weekend’s craft festival in Sarasota. Don’t leave Sarasota without one of her pieces.
Nikki Orton of Nikki’s Gifts has created lovely personalized breast cancer awareness-themed compact mirrors in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with 20% of the proceeds going to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, an initiative from the American Cancer Society. You definitely don’t want to miss seeing her awesome work.
Ray Dailey, incredible photographer with a flair for colorful, vibrant imagery, is showcasing his four-piece “Bonaire Collection” in support of breast cancer awareness this weekend. The collection includes one 24×36 of a pink house, two 16x20s of the area of Kralendijk in Bonaire, and an 11×14 of a cross. These would be exceptional additions to any collection.
