This weekend, make sure you tell everyone you know about the 13th Annual Villages Craft Festival in Spanish Springs Town Center. We love this quaint, friendly and gorgeous little nook in Lake County, and we are so excited to be coming back. Be sure to read all about The Villages and what makes this area so special, and share your pics of your booth, merchandise or patrons on our Facebook wall! Remember, we’ll be there this weekend, Jan. 4-5 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is free and all ages are welcome, and there are crafts and pieces for every budget and taste.
As we look back on the successes that American Craft Endeavors had in 2013, we can’t help but say THANK YOU, because we know that without you — our talented participating crafters, vendors and friends — we would not be able to bring fine crafts to the many different places we visit throughout the year.
We’ve heard your frustrations. It’s tough out there these days to make those sales. But American Craft Endeavors is here to help! There are, of course, things you can do on your own: Start an email list, have coupons or discounts available for patrons to use at your booth, share information with your friends and family on social media outlets and through a website, or even call preferred clients and let them know that you’ll be selling your goods in their area. But there are other things you can do to maximize your results as well!
With 2014 in full swing, we want to help you make the most of every tool accessible to you through us so that you can maximize sales and make a living doing what you love. We are working diligently to provide you, the participating crafters, with opportunities to market yourselves and increase awareness of your talents to the masses. This includes online tools that can help boost your marketing efforts and give more patrons a chance to own a piece of your work. Here are some of the online tools that you can employ to ensure that your sales increase at American Craft Endeavors shows this upcoming year.
Pinterest boards. For every show we hold we create a very special Pinterest board at pinterest.com/AmericanCraftFl, which includes artwork from participating crafters. It’s a fun way to gain exposure and be an active part of the American Craft Endeavors family while sharing your work with potential new admirers. Get yourself added to the board, and repin onto your own to make sure people get to see where you will be next.
Exhibitor Gallery. One of the perks available only to American Craft Endeavors participating crafters is our online Exhibitor Gallery. Post a bio of yourself along with the many ways fans and customers can reach you and some of the best samples of your work, absolutely free. Have a website? What about Instagram or Facebook? Do you have an Etsy store? The Exhibitor Gallery is a patron’s one-stop shop to finding you and buying your crafts over and over again. Go to blog.artfestival.com, join the gallery and be sure to include your profile link on all of your materials, whether you print out cards with your gallery address included or you simply include it in all of your communications with your customers and potential customers. And make sure to check back in and update often; customers with inquiries about specific artists or pieces often look through the gallery to find their favorites and ask questions or comment on their work.
Etsy Local. Are you an Etsy shop owner? We are working hard to get all of our shows listed on Etsy Local, a new service provided by the online marketplace, showcasing events and shows where shop owners may be selling their goodies in person. Search for the city and the show listing on the Etsy Local section, then join the event and send a message to your customers so they know where you will be. Click here for the Etsy Local listing for our Villages Craft Show!
Facebook sharing. Have you created a new beautiful piece you’re proud of? Are you excited about the new stuff you’re bringing to the next ACE show? Take a picture and post it on the American Craft Endeavors Facebook wall! We will share it with our audience and ask them to share it with others. More importantly, share your page or profile with us on Facebook to gain more followers; likewise, share our posts and events with your audience and help us get more patrons through the gates.
We are here to help you in any way we can! Be sure to always contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or requests, and of course, to let us know what we can do to keep you selling. For now, tell us, what have you found helpful when trying to increase sales at our craft shows?
