We are heading to Lake Sumter Landing this weekend for The Villages Craft Festival, where you’ll meet over 100 crafters and artists who want to share their work with you and your family. Are you ready for the experience? It’s happening Sat. and Sun. from 10 am to 5 pm at the beautiful waterfront area located in The Villages. Are you ready for a gorgeous, fun-filled weekend in Lake Sumter Landing. Are you ready for the fun?

Lake Sumter Landing, like the other market squares in The Villages, is quite unique in the way it was built and set up. Built off the shores of breathtaking Lake Sumter are over 75 quaint shops as over 19 restaurants to choose from, so families can enjoy a relaxing evening out. As with the Spanish Springs Town Square, nightly live music entertains the masses in the market square, where visitors are treated to some of the best area bands and are encouraged to dance along to tunes of yesterday and today. Two drink concession stands are available for visitors to grab a delicious refreshment, sit on the sidelines or join the crowd, and just enjoy the view.

JoeWeinsteinSo naturally, we HAD to be here for The Villages Craft Festival. We love the accessibility to a wonderful place with a flair for the artsy, and we are definitely enjoying the fact that this wonderful town is always so very welcoming to the American Craft Endeavors family. Follow us on Instagram at @CraftFestivals and use the hashtag #TheVillagesCraftFestival to share with us your experiences at the festival, whether you’re a crafter or a valued patron. Attention Crafters! We know you’re constantly looking for opportunities to showcase your crafts, and at American Craft Endeavors, we are here to give them to you. Our sister division, Howard Alan Events, is producing some pretty incredible festivals this summer that welcome crafters as well as artists! Here’s your chance to show off your abilities to others outside of your general show comfort zone. You can apply now for these shows through ZAPP online at Howard Alan Events, but don’t wait much longer — some of the categories, like Jewelry, fill up very quickly!

  • On Memorial Day weekend, May 24-25, come to beautiful Hilton Head, S.C. with us for the 6th Annual Hilton Head Island Art Festival. It’s will be held at the Shelter Cove Harbor, next to the Disney Resort. With the charm and beauty that only the coastal South can offer, there’s no question this is a show you have to get into. South Carolina in early summer? Yes, please!
  • LEGACY VILLAGE The following weekend, Howard Alan Events heads to Legacy Village in Cleveland, Ohio for the 24th Annual Art in the Village. Share your crafts with a brand new crowd up north as you enjoy the excitement of traveling and making new fans and friends. May 31-June 1 will be a time to remember. Ohio is always memorable so trust us, you won’t want to miss this one.
  • And of course, the 7th Annual Louisville Festival of the Arts takes place the weekend after that, June 7-8, at what was formerly known as the Summit Shops, now the Paddock Shops. The folks here are friendly, the people are lovely and the town is quite beautiful. Don’t miss these three events and keep checking www.artfestival.com for more shows to apply to!
