marcoislandIt’s almost here!!! This week’s debut show in beautiful Marco Island is one of the spring festivals we’ve been looking forward to the most and man, are we excited to share news of it with the world!

Our team has done a great job of spreading the news throughout social media and the Internet, but we need your help too! Be sure to share our Facebook posts about this show with your online friends, and of course, this weekend, become a part of the HAE Instagram Street Team.

How? By taking photos of yourself at the Marco Island Festival of the Arts and posting them on Instagram with the hashtag #MarcoIslandFOTA as your caption. Let’s reach out to the masses and share news of all of the Howard Alan Events festivals with as many people as possible!

Reaching Out to the Masses: Why is it Important?

So, why are we working so hard to reach out?

  • Because our outdoor, juried art festivals, well-known and well-respected in the industry, are artist-centered shows that give patrons the opportunity to not just buy art, but to learn about art and about the artists that create it.
  • Because art festivals give families the unique chance to share in the arts together, so that generations understand the importance of art and creativity in society.
  • Because artists work hard, spending countless hours creating pieces that are original, beautiful and representative of who they are, and they need the support of art lovers everywhere to get the word out about their work.
  • Because at Howard Alan Events, we are dedicated to doing our part in preserving the arts in our communities and throughout the U.S.

egretOne way that HAE celebrates artists is by choosing a featured artist each month for the Featured Art Giveaway. This week’s art giveaway is a breathtaking 24×36 print of an egret by photographer Dennis Goodman. Hailing from Naples by way of Minnesota, Dennis is inspired by the beauty of Florida’s natural landscape, particularly in the Everglades area of Florida. His lengthy online portfolio features landscapes, native birds, insects and other work, and it is absolutely inspired!

Now, you can not only visit his site and order his artwork, but you have the chance to meet him in person at the Marco Island Festival of the Arts, and even enter the Featured Art giveaway for the chance to take home this very special egret piece valued at $650. Enter the giveaway by stopping by Dennis’ booth and signing up for the contest between Saturday morning and Sunday at 4 pm, when the drawing will take place.

We can’t wait to see you this week at the Marco Island Festival of the Arts. This festival will be held in Veterans Park, 901 Park Ave. in Marco Island Saturday and Sunday, 10-5. We want this show to be one of our most successful South Florida shows yet, so spread the word and let’s make it happen!
