The very exciting Alexandria King Street Art Festival is returning to Alexandria, Virginia, this weekend for its 12th year. This particular art festival is one that has garnered national attention as being a top art festivals in the United States. In fact just this month, it was just ranked number 22 by Sunshine Artist magazine, the nation’s leading publication for art and craft shows, for “Best of Sunshine Artist.”
Come and see what the fuss is all about!
Over 200 of the best artists from various states will have their creations on display for you September 13th and 14th, 2014. The style and mediums range, as do the prices. The festival will appeal to all walks of life and many will be inspired to actually start some holiday shopping early this year.
Featured Artist: Patrick Reynolds
Make sure to stop into Patrick Reynolds’ booth. Not only is his work stunning and would make an excellent holiday gift, but you could actually win a $2,800 piece absolutely free. No purchase is necessary to enter for your chance to win the beautiful painting “Sagesse.”
Patrick started his art career quite young in his native New Orleans. He has owned galleries and sold art across the globe. Now he simply wants to take his art to a higher level and literally create a movement in the art world. Ask him about that when you view his work. He has found a way to paint feelings on canvas and capture a nuance of that human spirit. To learn more about Patrick’s powerful art, please visit www.angelartist.com.
To highlight a few other mediums, we’d like to introduce you to a few of the other artists who will be at the Alexandria King Street Art Festival, tempting you with their beautiful things.
We love the quote on Marksz of Palm Beach’s website, “One should either be a work of art or wear a work of art,” by Oscar Wilde. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves! And, when you wear a stunning piece by Alex and Gail Marksz of Jupiter, Florida, you will certainly be a show stopper! Each gorgeous piece is handcrafted, not cast in a mold. They let the inspiration flow from the fossils and gemstones they use, allowing each piece reveal itself in a distinctive and unique manner. Check out their website to see more.
DaNisha Sculpture is made up of the collaborative works of international Canadian artists Nisha and Dan Ferguson. Dan is the sculptor and Nisha is the designer and painter whose subject often reflects her passion as a trained acrobat and choreographer. Just like they melded their names to create their business identity, they have found their artistic collaboration to be a wonderful way to create possibilities previously unimagined. Visit their website to see more of their work.
