Seamstress Pat grew up in a large family in New England, served her country during Vietnam in the US Navy, and re-entered civilian life working in Corporate America before retiring to Florida. She now spends most of her time sewing 26” and 20” cloth dolls with smiling faces. It’s the best job ever because she not only puts smiles on the faces of her dolls, she also puts smiles on the faces of everyone who sees them!
Approximately 30 years ago, Seamstress Pat began sewing these dolls for her little girl and, of course, her friends. Now she sews them for her grandchildren and their friends. And, if you choose, she can make one for your child, your grandchild or even your own inner child.
Each doll is lovingly sewn one-at-a-time with an embroidered smiling face, with cloth hair, and a body that is stuffed with made-in-the-USA, 100% premium polyester fiberfill.
The doll costumes vary per your requirements and typically end up as unique, one-of-a-kind outfits. In addition, a name can be embroidered within a heart on the doll’s chest. The doll’s details can vary according to your specifications, i.e.:
• Boy or girl doll
• Hair, eye and body color
• Two favorite colors for the dolls clothes
• Favorite interest (ballet, cheer leading, pirates, princesses, etc.)
Seamstress Pat then takes your requirements and combines them with her artistic flair and VOILA! You have your very own custom-made, smiling doll.
Because Seamstress Pat creates her own patterns for most costumes, the completion time for a doll may vary. It also dependent upon your unique specifications. A basic doll with a dress could take only two days whereas a doll in a Marine costume could take as many as four days.
Some would say that Seamstress Pat has the best “job” ever because of her ability to take two dimensional fabric and turn it into three dimensional smiling dolls. But she says her only motive is to put as many smiles as possible on the faces of children and adults everywhere.
