What is your favorite thing about the fall season? Don’t ask us — we can’t pick just one! We love the cool, crisp weather, the ridiculously blue skies and the season’s changing colors (although we don’t get much of that here in Florida). We could go on about everything from pumpkin-flavored stuff to our favorite cozy sweaters, but really, for us, the most exciting part of fall at American Craft Endeavors is knowing that we have a festival just around the corner almost every single week.

This week, we get to enjoy fall in gorgeous South Florida, where the 16th Annual Lauderdale by the Sea Craft Festival is happening Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25-26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. We hope you join us for a stroll along A1A and Commercial Boulevard as some of the best crafters in the U.S. converge in this quaint section of Florida’s Gold Coast. Wear your comfy shoes and bring the whole family for this free event that’s open to all ages.

You know, part of the fun of fall is getting into the spirit of the season. And that fun starts, of course, with Halloween. Whether you’re partying it up with a crazy costume or spending a quiet evening at home waiting for trick-or-treaters to ring your doorbell, getting into the groove of fall time means achieving the right look for your party, home or both. With dozens of crafters at the 16th Annual Lauderdale by the Sea Craft Festival specializing in a variety of disciplines and craft projects, you are bound to find unique seasonal goodies for you to get into the spirit of the holiday.

Blue Flame CandlesBlue Flame Candles have a variety of gorgeous candles to create the mood. Meanwhile, Ladybug Bows has a Halloween collection of hair pieces and bows that your little ones will love. Or, how about a cool, carnivorous plant? Plant lovers can change the decor of their home by checking out Magic Mona’s Plant Emporium’s booth, where they can get all kinds of beautiful exotic plants that thrive in South Florida. Needless to say, there will be something for everyone at the 16th Annual Lauderdale by the Sea Craft Festival!Halloween Bow

Here’s another great reason to spend your last weekend in October with us at the Lauderdale by the Sea Craft Festival: October is Pinktober at American Craft Endeavors events! Be sure to rock your best pinkwear as a show of support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Many crafters are participating in Pinktober by creating unique and original pieces inspired by this month’s emphasis on the battle against breast cancer. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. As the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer care facility in Florida, Moffitt Cancer Center has been responsible for treating hundreds of patients battling cancer.

Kathy & Loren BellFor crafters and patrons at our craft festivals, October’s Pinktober reminders have given us a great opportunity to recognize and remember those who are battling this disease. Crafters like Kathy and Loren Bell, Tammy Frand,  and Pat Kaufman have been sharing some of their breast cancer awareness-inspired work with visitors all month long, and you have a chance to take one of those pieces home. Don’t forget to stop by their booths and perhaps purchase something that’s not only beautiful but meaningful as well.

This weekend, don’t forget to follow us on social media and tag your photos at the festival with the hashtags #ACECraftFest and #ThinkPink so we can see what a great time you’re having with your family! You can find us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and even Pinterest. Say goodbye to October and keep falling in love with this fall weather this weekend at the 16th Annual Lauderdale by the Sea Craft Festival!
