October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and just like every year, Howard Alan Events is saying “yes” to spreading awareness about this terrible disease. Participating artists are creating amazing pieces inspired by the cause with proceeds going to cancer research and visitors are encouraged to join in and wear their favorite pink gear in support. Our social media family is spreading the word about Pinktober!
This weekend, at the 27th Annual Cadillac Las Olas Art Fair, we’re partnering with Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A portion of proceeds from sales of breast cancer awareness-inspired items will be donated toward the work that this incredible facility is doing. As the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer care center in Florida, Moffitt works tirelessly to be a resource of cancer education, research and treatment in Florida and beyond. So, when you buy art from any participating artist with breast cancer awareness-inspired items at the show, you’ll know that you’re contributing to a great cause.
There will be many artists on site at the 27th Annual Cadillac Las Olas Art Fair this Saturday and Sunday who will be supporting breast cancer awareness this month, and many have created some beautiful pieces. Here are some names to get you started:
Jodi Crespi. Nothing says unique like a special tag to show you care. P.J. Art Tags by the talented Jodi Crespi are a mix of military-grade stainless steel and elaborate artistic detail. Jodi has created a special line of tags in celebration of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and you’ll be able to catch some of her works at the Cadillac Las Olas Art Fair.
Sam Zolot. Abstract artist Sam Zolot has his roots in Miami Beach, where he developed his talent at an early age. He has created a piece for Breast Cancer Awareness Month that will inspire and encourage. Be sure to stop by his booth this weekend.
Jan Kirchoff. If you love stained glass art and gourd art, visit Jan Kirchoff‘s booth and enjoy her wonderful work. From lovely nature-inspired stained glass pieces to lively and beautiful gourd art, you are bound to find something for a special someone in your life. Jan’s piece for breast cancer awareness is simply stunning.
Dennis Goodman. Photography lovers will be glad to see Dennis Goodman‘s solid body of work, which recalls the most beautiful scenes in nature. His contribution to breast cancer awareness-inspired art is a gorgeous piece entitled “Spoonbill”.
And, speaking of amazing photography… Don’t forget to meet the Jasinksi brothers. Michael and Brian are Gainesville-based photographers who really capture the beauty of Florida on the water. For this art festival they are providing the giveaway, “Whispering Wave.” Go to their booth to see it on display and enter to win the 36” x 60” print, valued at $595. No purchase is necessary to participate. To see more of the gorgeous photography that they’ve taken all over Florida, the Caribbean and South Pacific, please visit their website.
Cadillac, title sponsor this year, invites you to stop by their display to experience their luxurious line of vehicles and receive a free Cadillac tote bag (while supplies last).
