The closing of every year always leaves us here at Howard Alan Events amazed — at the great deal of generosity and support we have received from artists and patrons alike, at the increasingly rousing success of our art festivals and, let’s face it, at the fact that it seemed like it was just yesterday we were getting ready to kick off 2014 and now here we are, approaching the end.
Our appreciation grows with the passing of each season, friends. And to show that appreciation, we want to close 2014 by bringing you another exciting art festival, in a location that you already love.
Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 27-28, join us for the always fun 4th Annual Coconut Point New Year’s Weekend Art Festival in gorgeous Estero, Fl., nestled between Fort Myers and Bonita Springs on Florida’s west coast. We’re once again taking over the outskirts of the Coconut Point Mall to bring you a weekend of great art, music, and fun for the entire family. This free event is open to the public and features an outdoor gallery-style stroll through a sea of wonderful fine artists from all over, as well as amazing collector’s pieces in various mediums for every art lover and every budget. No matter what you’re looking for, this weekend’s show in Coconut Point is the place to be.
Our featured artist for this New Year’s extravaganza weekend is the wonderful Barbara Groenteman. This versatile watercolor artist finds her inspiration wherever Florida nature resides; whether in gardens or nature sanctuaries, Barbara has always been able to find something beautiful in the vibrant colors and the contrasts between light and shadows. With a number of accolades and a deep understanding of the visual arts, Barbara — a 23-year Naples, Fl. resident — is the epitome of fine artistry, and a great example of what makes our Howard Alan Events so special.
This weekend, patrons will have a chance to win “Fly By,” a gorgeous piece by Barbara Groenteman, simply by attending the 4th Annual Coconut Point New Year’s Weekend Art Festival. Stop by her booth Saturday and Sunday for a chance to meet Barbara, learn more about her process, see “Fly By” in person and enter the drawing for the piece. No purchase is required to enter, but you must enter the featured art giveaway in person.
