How are you liking 2015 so far? We certainly can’t complain! January has been jam-packed with excellent shows from both Howard Alan Events and our sister division, American Craft Endeavors. Thank you to our patrons, artists, crafters, sponsors, vendors and supporters all over Florida and the U.S. We pride ourselves in producing arts and crafts festivals that families will love, and it is because of the overwhelming support we receive that we’re able to continue doing what we do.

That said, why slow down now? We’re saying goodbye to a very chilly January and welcoming the month of love at this weekend’s 14th Annual Hobe Sound Festival of the Arts, taking place Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 31st to Feb. 1st, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in this affluent area of South Florida’s Atlantic Coast. The area near Hobe Sound is a haven of long-preserved nature, beautiful national parks and great entertainment options for visitors and residents alike. This weekend’s festival tradition is just one more reason to visit this gorgeous sector near Jupiter Island.

As always, we have our Featured Art giveaway to look forward to, and this weekend, it’s from an artist who represents everything about Hobe Sound that we love! Hobe Sound’s free giveaway will feature the work of wildlife artist and marine illustrator Steve Whitlock. His work, a menagerie of sharp lines, vivid imagery and vibrant, colorful odes to Florida nature, Steve is a one-of-a-kind artist who embodies the spirit of what our art festivals are all about. That’s why we are so excited to feature his work. The giveaway prize, a framed limited edition navigational chart of southeast Florida featuring a sailfish and valued at $350, will be on display in Steve’s booth where registration will also take place.  No purchase will be necessary to participate and a winner will be drawn the last hour of the festival.  To learn more about Steve and explore his artwork go to www.stevewhitlock.com.
