Guess what time it is, friends? IT’S BOCA FEST TIME! This weekend, we’re thrilled to be returning for our 28th year in Boca Raton for Boca Fest, one of our most popular shows here at Howard Alan Events. Indeed, this is a celebration of artistic talent that includes everything you can think of, from the opportunity to shop for your collection, to the chance to meet and greet some of the nation’s most exciting creative minds.
This Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 10-11, you’ll have the chance to get your shopping fix, enjoy live entertainment, and take some beautiful pieces home. You’ll even be able to take a new family member home as, once again, Animal Aid will be on hand to educate the South Florida community about the importance of rescuing and caring for unwanted, abandoned and stray dogs and cats. Last week at the Las Olas Art Fair I, Animal Aid collected a whopping $1,760 in donations, and adopted out 10 furry friends! What a turnout, what a gesture! THANK YOU, LAS OLAS! Needless to say, we want to follow Fort Lauderdale’s generosity this weekend in Boca Raton so, please, give all you can and carefully consider adding a new doggy or kitty to your family.
As usual, our art festivals feature the work of an incredible artist who will give away a piece for a lucky patron to take home and enjoy, and this show is no exception. With a breathtaking eye for the surreal and a delicate but profound use of color, Mexican artist Julio C. Garcia embodies all that is beautiful and vibrant about the city of Boca Raton. That is why this weekend, Boca Fest patrons will have the unique chance to win one of Julio’s spectacular pieces. “Hum!”, an imaginative piece from Garcia, a self-described surrealist artist, could be yours when you attend this weekend’s 28th Annual Boca Fest and enter our Featured Artist giveaway. There is no purchase necessary to enter, but you must attend the show to have a shot at the big prize.
Whether you like jewelry, sculpture, painting, mixed media…whatever your passion in the art world, you can rest assured that you’ll find something you love in your budget. Check out some of the artists you’ll meet at this weekend’s art celebration:
Annmarie Siegel, jewelry, watchpartjewelry.com. Annmarie has been part of the HAE participating artist family for some time, and it’s not hard to figure out why. Her lovely jewelry creations make thoughtful gifts and complement every individual style.
Ed Myers, digital art, lionoptic.com. Taking digital art to the next level, Ed Myers is undoubtedly a master in his own right. Digital art lovers in your life will appreciate his eclectic and inventive eye for the abstract.
Roger Gandelman, glass, gandelmanglass.com. Roger’s breathtaking blown glass creations are the epitome of art. Bold, beautiful and bright, we guarantee you’ll find a cherished piece to add to your collection.
Throughout the year, we connect with you, our online community via Facebook, and we absolutely love it! But we must tell you, we have a pretty lofty goal that we’d love for you to help us with: We love and appreciate all 27,000+ Facebook followers we have, so we want to make that number bigger.
If you love interacting with us as much as we love interacting with you, would you please share our page with ten friends and ask them to “Like” us? Let us share interesting bits about the arts, our Howard Alan Events art festivals and our favorite people and things with as many people as we can. You can also follow us on Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram. As always, we are looking forward to seeing you all in Boca Raton this week for the 28th Annual Boca Fest, and we are grateful for your support. See you at Boca Fest!
