We often refer to artwork that we perceive as a specific medium to be just that. For instance, pieces that seem like paintings are just paintings, works composed largely of clay can be pottery, etc. Yet much of the work we come across in the art world is actually considered “mixed media” – a combination of two or more mediums used to convey the artistic message.
This weekend, we return to beautiful Fort Lauderdale for the 27th Annual Las Olas Art Fair Part II, a longstanding tradition of art, family, and fun. There, amidst crowds of patrons and talented artists under the warmth of the South Florida sun, you’ll find a huge diversity of mixed media art to learn about, buy for loved ones or simply add to your collection. Here are some mixed media artists you won’t want to miss this weekend.
