The 2015 Colorado Summer Tour is finally on its way and we can’t wait for you to experience it with us! Our first stop is well known for its beautiful landscapes, friendly people, and luxurious sites. Naturally, it’s a perfect setting for high-end artists and gallery-style art to be showcased. Our first stop on the tour is breathtaking Aspen, Colorado.

Forget the rich and famous — Aspen has something for everyone. From lovely digs that highlight the local culture to endless treks of natural beauty to explore, Aspen is the ideal setting for those who love imagination, creativity and art. Inhabited for thousands of years, and cherished by its populations throughout history, Aspen is every bit as magical as it appears.

• Aspen’s yearly snowfall averages about 300 inches — that’s 25 feet of white stuff to ski right through! Of course, it should come as no surprise then that…

• The country’s second largest ski area is located in Aspen. The 3,010 acres of Snowmass can fit about 36 Disneylands in it.

• To add to the creative mystique of the area, deep within Aspen Mountain’s forest, hikers can find four hidden “shrines” to some of history’s most famous cultural icons — John Denver, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, and Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead.

With so much natural and cultural history attached to the area, it should come as no shock that Howard Alan Events has chosen to hold the Downtown Aspen Art Festival for 12 years running. This year marks its 13th iteration, with incredible artists who are not only showcasing their art, but giving patrons the opportunity to cherish their favorite pieces forever. Here are some of the artists patrons can meet this weekend, July 25-26 in Downtown Aspen.
