The 2015 Colorado Summer Tour continues in another one of our favorite spots in Colorado, Beaver Creek Village in Avon. A luxurious haven in the midst of adventure, Beaver Creek has everything nature lovers dream of: beautiful natural surroundings, decadent amenities and a mountain paradise away from the stresses of the world.
This is why we love that the Beaver Creek Art Festival is now in its 28th year. What better place to showcase rare and beautiful artistic talent than in a rare and beautiful picturesque setting? Let’s start August the right way! Come celebrate some of the country’s most exciting artists Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 1-2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Beaver Creek Village. Expect to find some amazing art for your collection, a lovely gift for someone you love, or a favorite artist whose career you’ll be following for sure.
Howard Alan Events always makes great art the centerpiece of these festivals, and this time around is no exception. Our Featured Artists are a great example of that. Kat Hogan and Jerome Ellis are glass and metal sculptors from Las Vegas, Nevada, who combine their talents to create whimsical and interesting conversation pieces. Combining metal, fused glass, and vintage or found items, Kat and Jerome transport their audience into another world with their interpretations in sculpture.
As with every Howard Alan Events festival, this weekend you’ll have the chance to take home one of Kat and Jerome’s special creations. Visit Kat Hogan and Jerome Ellis in their booth and enter to win one of their very own sculptures. No purchase is necessary to enter, but you must attend the festival to have a chance to win. Whether you’re starting a new art collection, or this is an addition to an already existing one, we promise you won’t want to miss this whimsical giveaway.
The highlight of the festival, however, is the number of artists who will be in attendance, sharing their work and hopefully inspiring you to take it home. There will be artists from all over the country, and you’ll even get to meet some local talent. Here are a few Colorado artists you should not miss:
Jamie Anderson and Debi Letner will be on hand to share their unique granite stone creations. Lovely gifts for anyone who appreciates true artistry, you will find everything from granite oil candles to granite wine glasses to suit your every taste.
Experience Colorado through the eyes of oil painter extraordinaire Justin Clements. From still life portraits to landscape paintings, Justin brings his surroundings to life with a classic, delicate hand. His works are a must for any oil admirer.
Your adventurous side doesn’t need to sacrifice beauty to find something cool at the Beaver Creek Art Festival. Check out Brent Nilson‘s collection of handcrafted custom knives. Completed or partially completed knife blades get horn, exotic wood, or custom handles added for a unique, unforgettable tailor-made gift.
Wildlife artist J.B. Sullivan brings to life his surroundings with the charisma and wit that only someone intimately in touch with its subject matter. J.B.’s finely created drawings are a wonderfully detailed gems for those who love and appreciate the great outdoors and its inhabitants.
