With many upscale stores, galleries and hip restaurants in this historic residential neighborhood, Shadyside is the ideal place for artists to showcase their creations for the art aficionados of the area.

August has been a great month for our HAE artists, and this show will be no exception. From original paintings to eclectic jewelry, you will find all kinds of artistic media represented at The Art Festival on Walnut Street. What’s more, not only is every major style represented, but prices range to accommodate any budget. Begin your holiday shopping with confidence and meet some of the country’s most enlightened talent. You can learn more about their techniques in a picturesque, high-end, outdoor art gallery setting.

As always, the Featured Artist for the Shadyside show is one of our most cherished talents, and we are excited for you to get to know her. Melanie Rofles is a talented abstract expressionist, whose special treatment of color and medium expression conveys radical emotions. Whatever material she utilizes in her pieces, it is the way in which she interprets the empty spaces and how those colors give the painting meaning that she is most interested in sharing with her audience. This weekend, visit Melanie’s booth and enter to win a 30″ x 30″ original abstract painting, valued at $650, that you can take home and add to your collection. There is no purchase necessary to enter, but you must be a attend to win. To learn more about Melanie, please visit her website.
